Kurtenbach: 10 thoughts on the Warriors, 49ers, Sharks, and baseball’s horribly structured playoffs

Published Fri, 21 Feb 2025 15:21:00 GMT

I don’t tweet anymore. I’ve been clean of that evil for nearly a year now. Frankly, I’m not sure anyone has cared or noticed that @dieter has been dormant. It’s been an excellent decision for my mental health, but a year in, it’s still challenging to re-wire my brain after so many years of pushing out seemingly any thought I had.I still have these not-quite-fleeting, not-yet-a-column ideas. Published Fri, 21 Feb 2025 15:21:00 GMT

If you’ve ever had friends and family visit from out of town, you may have had to let them down easy when asked to “see Silicon Valley.” You would drive around to tech campuses where they could see signs for places like eBay, Adobe, Nvidia or Netflix. No problem. Take here there for art, tech and food, all in one impressive...

Watt and Alex Highsmith might be the best edge-rushing tandem in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie outside linebacker who has essentially attached himself to his two superstar teammates since training camp began just shook his head.“Might be?” Herbig said, with more than a tinge of sarcasm. “Might be? Look at the tape, bro.”Look at the standings, too.The Steelers enter their bye week at 3-2 and atop the AFC North almost in spite of an offense that still can’t seem to get out of its own way. And week in and (nea...
